Perfect Code Won't Save You: What Actually Sinks a Startup?

You have a new and bright idea. You worked for months, allocated a serious budget, and built a platform (application or web project) that works perfectly and has a great design. You think millions will flock on the day you go live, but when that day comes... Nothing happens. Why?

Because what sinks a digital project is usually not poorly written codes; it's the wrong strategy.

I have spent many years both in the kitchen (as a developer) and at the table (as a founder) of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. I had projects that held on to life, and those that resulted in failure. All these bitter and sweet experiences taught me one thing very clearly: No matter how good your product is, without the right market strategy and marketing setup, that product is just blinking in the dark.

Many entrepreneurs waste their months and money trying to fit every feature into the first version of the project (MVP). However, what needs to be done is to go out to the market with the simplest version that solves the basic problem and measure the user's reaction. Knowing what you "should not" do as well as what you "should" do saves lives.

If you are starting a new project, find not only a good developer but also a technology partner who will sit at the table with you to analyze the project's market fit, digital marketing strategy, and growth setup. Because at the end of the day, codes are just a tool; what will bring the real success is a correctly drawn roadmap.
